PSS + GRI Announcement from North Europe to Far East

MSC Mediterranean Shipping Company wishes to advise clients that to face the strong demand for space and equipment on the eastbound trade, the Peak Season Surcharge (PSS) will remain applicable in April (from North Europe to the Far East).

PSS reminder:

USD 100 / 20’ USD 200 / 40’ Dry, any commodity (including waste paper, scrap metal, etc..)
USD 300 / 20’ USD 500 / 40’ Reefer

Also: MSC Mediterranean Shipping Company wishes to advise clients of a General Rate Increase (GRI) to be applicable as of April 1st, 2010 for all containers / all cargoes (including Waste Products) destined to the Far East.

GRI:

USD 200 per container (20' or 40')

"North Europe" stands for NWC & Scandinavia / Baltic / U.K. / Scotland
"Far East" stands for China, Japan, Korea and all South East Asia destinations.
