MSC Noumea Service 15/03/2006

Geneva, Wednesday 15th March 2006

In response to growing market pressure, MSC Mediterranean Shipping Company S.A. is pleased to announce the introduction of a dedicated MSC vessel to directly link the ports of Sydney and Noumea, offering a weekly sailing frequency, to commence in May 2006.

This is a recognition of the growing importance of New Caledonia and the Pacific Islands Region and it's involvement with global trade. This weekly service will further complement the existing wide range of Liner and feeder global services offered by MSC, and will connect with the weekly MSC Europe service, North Asia service, Central Asia service, S.E. Asia service and the two Transtasman Loops.

This new service is yet another indication that MSC can quickly respond to market developments and implement long term plans that reflect the needs of its customers.

Further information about this revised service can be obtained from your local MSC Agency Office.
