New Service between South America East Coast and the Mediterranean 16/12/2002

Geneva, December 16, 2002

MEDITERRANEAN SHIPPING COMPANY S.A of Geneva, Switzerland is pleased to announce a new weekly service from the East Coast of South America to the Mediterranean.

Commencing from 10th January 2003, MSC will provide a dedicated direct service to and from the major ports of the East Coast of South America and the Mediterranean and in addition enhance port coverage in Brazil through direct calls at Itajai and Parangua.A fleet of 6 vessels will be deployed and the Port rotation of this new service will be :-

La Spezia, Genoa, Fos, Barcelona, Valencia, Las Palmas, Rio de Janeiro, Santos, Buenos Aires, Paranagua, Itajai, Rio de Janeiro, Vitoria, Las Palmas, Lisbon

This additional service will enable MSC to provide a quicker and more reliable
service between South American East Coast Ports and the Mediterranean and provide access to additional port coverage in Brazil.
